ABOUT FEDERICO WINER

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1973, Federico is a visual artist, photographer and professor at the University of Buenos Aires with a background in Political Science, Philosophy, Architecture and The Arts.

He is one of the founding members of the Experimental Group Soy Cuyano, a multidisciplinary team of intellectuals and scientists who explore the relationship between philosophy, sciences and the arts.

The satellite art project ULTRADISTANCIA experiments with the boundaries between travel, photography, geography and digital art. The photographs are reflections on the possibilities of travel without movement made possible by new technologies.

ULTRADISTANCIA was selected by Google to be featured in the release of the New Google Earth, enabling users to experience the artworks while browsing the Earth.

Winer's work has been exhibited worldwide including galleries and festivals in Argentina, USA, Australia, Thailand, Canada, Israel, Germany and Italy.
